You should disable "call waiting" on your line before your modem dials out. Call waiting can cause your modem to disconnect. Usually adding *70 to the beginning of the phone number you are dialing will disconnect call waiting for that call only. Somtimes you can tell your modem to automatically disable call waiting Just look for dialing command and change it to ATDT *70.
